The movement of a small fishing boat slowly sailing along the coast, close to the light beige rocks that rush into the clearest blue sea, and at the end of the cruise, there’s a treasure called LIVADAKI. A place that makes you feel like Ulysses, discovering a sanctuary of nature on the Cyclades Islands, a hidden cove where the stones vibrate with special and quiet echoes.

This piece of music is all about this daily journey experienced by Arno E. Mathieu on the Cyclades Islands. He is expressing his most genuine feelings, in the same way the impressionists did on canvas.

Arno’s original version is a progression of textures and melodies describing the trip and staying focused on the final direction, from hypnotic bass patterns, angelic voices, an ethereal synth lead, repetitive percussions and some final aerial chords to welcome the listener at this dreamy destination.

Then, there is the remix!
Well known for their many EPs and an album on Innervisions, the talented French-Japanese duet, Tokyo Black Star a.k.a Alex From Tokyo & Isao Kumano, are back again to experiment with Arno’s music. 10 years after their remix of Arno’s «Heritage» track, Alex and Arno’s longtime friendship is more than ever a great reason, but really the only one, to get them working together in this project.

It is also the opportunity for Arno’s music to meet once again the vocals of the Japanese singer Yurai. This follows their FIRST collaboration on his «Parenthesis» song from Arno’s previous album «Circumstances Of Chaos».

So here it is. Alex and Isao take us on a special trip with this vocal re-interpretation of LIVADAKI, using the voice of Yurai like a proper instrument alongside the original bass pattern and Balearic synth, following some shining bells that drive us all along this intense cosmic journey.

No more words needed, just follow the vibe and let your mind imagine the landscape…
